Tracks Electronic Files

The CTS Electronic Files feature tracks all the different data files associated with a case. Although these files are different types, for example WordPerfect files, Word Files, PDF files, etc., CTS automatically starts the correct software to display and update each of the file types.

For example, for U.S. Patent cases CTS tracks all prior art documents found in the search (and CTS prints the PTO 1449 document), the application file, and each assignment document. For each office action, CTS tracks the office action, office action response, and prior art documents returned by the Examiner. Since Office Actions typically arrive in paper format (for now), you can scan the office action papers and CTS will track the scanned document. Prior Art can be obtained in Adobe Acrobat PDF format from the PTO, and CTS will track each of these PDF documents, and launch Adobe Acrobat Reader to display them.

For each file, CTS tracks the file, its location, and the type of software used to display and update the file. CTS can transfer directly to that software, and display the file you selected.

CTS Electronic Files allow you to easily take all the documents for a complete case on a CD for use at another location or on your laptop. A single CD, or DVD, may hold all your cases, so with CTS Electronic Files you can have your entire office files on your laptop, right at your fingertips.
