Define your own rules for creating reminder items.
A Reminder Rule defines a reminder that is created automatically for a case. For example, you can create a reminder rule that automatically creates a reminder to follow up on a case six months after the case is filed. After creating the reminder rule, each time you file a case, a six-months follow-up reminder item will be created for the case.
A reminder rule creates reminders from a key date, for example the six-months follow-up reminder would be keyed from the filing date. A reminder rule can also have up to five conditions that must also be satisfied before the reminder rule will create the reminder. For example, you might create a condition that causes the six-months follow-up reminder item to only be created when the status of the case is "pending", since only pending cases need the follow-up.
The time for the reminder item can be set for a predetermined number of days or months or years, either before or after the key date.
You can also require CTS to ask before creating each reminder item, so you can choose, at that time, whether or not to save the reminder item.
The rule can create the reminder for any combination of the Senior Attorney, Primary Attorney, Administrator, or one to three specific people in your organization.
