Automatically Calendars Dates
CTS automatically tracks over 250 dates for you, plus any of the more than 200 FlexFields can be used to track dates.
Whenever you enter a date into CTS, and other dates depend upon that date, CTS automatically sets the other dates. For example, when you enter the date registered for a trademark, CTS automatically calendars the renewal dates. When you enter a patent office action date, CTS calendars the three month date (or two month for a final) as well as the last date possible to file a response.
For PCT cases, CTS automatically calendars all Chapter I and Chapter II dates.
When a trademark is registered, CTS calendars the Section 8, Section 15, and renewal dates. CTS also has fields on the foreign trademark screens for the equivalent of these dates for each foreign jurisdiction and fields on the state trademark screens for the equivalent of these dates for each state. CTS also tracks dates for filing the statement of use in intent to use applications.
You define the time CTS uses for each reminder date, through a Preferences screen and Preference Rules, so you control the dates being set.
You can also add any reminders to any case you like or you can create Reminder Rules to cause CTS to automatically create new dates each time a case record is saved to the file. You can even add reminders for non-case related items, such as paying taxes, or your mother's birthday. There is no limit to the number of reminders, or Reminder Rules, you can set for a case.
Displays Calendared Dates Automatically
Each time you display a case on the screen, CTS automatically displays all the calendared dates for the case. CTS remembers all the dates, and will display each date before you need to act upon it, but you can limit how far in the future CTS displays dates, so your screens and reports show only the dates that need to be acted upon now. Also, when CTS starts, it displays the Current Reminders screen to show all reminders for all cases for the user logging on.
